Be You
Be You is a safe space for young people to access help out of school hours and at weekends. We run two drop-in sessions every week where you can come and talk to us, get information and advice to help you improve your wellbeing, or maybe you’d like to express your feeling with music therapy? Either way, our door is open.
Drop-in sessions
Our drop-in sessions are an opportunity to talk in a quiet, non-judgemental space. Meet others who may be experience similar thoughts, feelings and challenges with their mental health. 1:1 appointments are also bookable if you want to talk privately and get personalised advice, information, signposting and support via de escalation, coping strategies and wellbeing toolkits.
- Wednesdays 6-8pm
- Saturdays 1.30-3.30pm
Please note that Be You is not a crisis service. We are not linked to CAMHS and we cannot offer a diagnosis.
Music therapy
Music therapy can help develop better communication skills, improve self-confidence and independence, enhance self-awareness and awareness of others, and improve wellbeing. At these free weekly sessions you will meet with a small group and learn how to express your emotions through the power of music with our in-house musicians.Regardless of your ability to play an instrument, it is still possible to engage with making and listening to music. Our therapy sessions use this connection with sound and rhythm to facilitate positive changes in emotional wellbeing and communication through the playing and listening of live music.
This group meets Tuesdays 6-7pm
It’s easy to access Be You. On Wednesdays and Saturdays we operate a drop-in service, no appointment or GP referral needed and you’ll be pleased to hear there are no lengthy waiting lists! Just come along and say hello.
