Islington Mind
We are a registered charity offering a variety of mental health services aimed at empowering and supporting the wellbeing of Islington residents. Our services focus on providing open, immediate access to recovery pathways, offering individuals help at an early stage - helping to offer support before things escalate, reduce the risk of crisis or hospitalisation, and tackle issues like isolation. Assistance with day to day barriers, such as financial challenges, is also offered.
Support is provided mainly in group settings, but we also have a one to one offer, including enablement support, Hand in Hand peer buddies support, and a talking therapies service.
A variety of wellbeing activities is offered, including yoga, walking, boxing, arts and crafts, music, and practical support such as employment help, IT training, cooking, and budgeting. Our peer support groups facilitate safe spaces for people dealing with issues such as hearing voices and paranoia.
