Here For You - Wakefield

Feeling down and not sure where to turn? Our local out-of-hours services (every day 6pm - midnight) offer face-to-face support for those nights when you are struggling, or may have thoughts of self-harm or suicide.

Our Wakefield service is open to anybody aged 16 years and older living in Wakefield and the 5 districts, who feel they need same night support, but do not require medical or specialist attention.

What We Offer:

  • A welcoming Social Space from 8pm-Midnight for up to 6 people at a time. This may be useful if you are looking for distraction from your thoughts and feelings and feel up to being around other people. We offer free refreshments, a range of activities and simply be a safe space to sit and be around others to remind you that you are not alone.
  • 1-to-1 Support in person at one of our safe spaces between 7.30-10.30pm. This is helpful if you have something specific on your mind that evening that you want to talk to one of our support workers about. This will be 45 minutes in length and you can also join our social space afterwards if you want to.

We are based at Prosper House, Wakefield, WF1 4JZ. To access support, call the team on the night that you would like support, 07776 962815.
